Charles ElsesserCharles Elsesser is co-founder of the Community Justice Project, Inc. in Miami, a non-profit law firm which represents grass roots community organizations engaged in social justice campaigns with litigation and policy advocacy. Charles began his career in California, where he held numerous positions including Director of Litigation for Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, staff of the State Senate Rules Committee, Director of the City of Santa Monica Housing Department and the initial President of the City of Los Angeles Affordable Housing Commission. He relocated to Florida in 1992. He has served for several years as an adjunct professor at Miami Law, helping to train future lawyers in community lawyering concepts.
